KERKHOVEN-MURDOCK-SUNBURG FIGHTING SAINTS
Head Coach: Wes Haglund
Overall:
The Fighting Saints defeated Benson 53-22 in their first round Section 5A dual. They were defeated by LPGE/BR 49-14 in the semifinals. The Fighting Saints did graduate three seniors last spring, including three section place winners. They will be returning thirteen with a great deal of experience, that includes nine section place winners and six super section place winners. They have one state medalist back to help lead the way. Look for this crew to make strides of improvement thru out the course of the season. They should challenge those dual meet marks from last season. If they get their weights spread out, they could make a challenge for one of the top four spots in what will be a tough Section 5A dual meet campaign. Their key leaders should include: Coy Gunderson (34-6), Chase Magaard (34-4), Trey Gunderson (34-5) and Ely Johnson (24-14).
