(SECTION DUALS/INDIVIDUALS)
CLASS AAA
SAINT MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE KNIGHTS
The Knights opened the Section Duals with a forfeit win over Osseo and in the semifinals they defeated Park Center 84-0. The Knights defeated Section 5AAA rival and No. 8AAA ranked Wayzata 46-15. Lincoln Robideau (106), Mason Mills (120), Landon Robideau (132), Parker Janssen (138), Eli Davis (145), Jarrett Wadsen (152), Jed Webster (160), Myles Dehmer (220) and Logan Torkelson (285) all went 2-0.
WILLMAR CARDINALS
The Cardinals, the No. 2 seed in Section 8AAA defeated Section 8AAA foe Buffalo 58-10 in their first round dual. In the Section 8AAA semifinals the Cardinals defeated AAA Lean and Mean Little Falls 43-21. In the Championship they defeated No. 5AAA ranked Bemidji 33-25. Cavin Carlson (120), Sully Anez (132), Cameron Champagne (145), Conlan Carlson (138) and Braeden Erickson (170) all went 3-0. Lawson Anez (113), Ivan Mares (126), Zander Miska (152) and Daunte Castellano (285) all went 2-1 and Romero Trevino (195) went 2-0.
BEMIDJI LUMBER JACKS
The Lumber Jacks defeated their Section 8AAA foe Sartell-St. Stephen in the first round section dual 69-5. The Lumber Jacks defeated the Section 8AAA rivals Brainerd 38-26 in the their Section 8AAA semifinals. They were defeated by their AAA Lean and Mean rivals Willmar 33-25 for the Section 8AAA Championship. Gabe Morin (106), Nick Strand (113), Dane Jorgensen (152/160) and Parker Orvik (220) all went 3-0 and Seth Newby (170/182) went 2-0.
CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI BLUE JACKETS
The Blue Jackets were defeated by their Section 7AAA rivals Elk River 39-30 (6-8 match split) in the quarterfinals.
LITTLE FALLS FLYERS
The Flyers defeated the St. Cloud Crush 53-19 (10-4 match split) in their Section 8AAA quarterfinals. The Flyers were defeated in the Section 8AAA semifinals by AAA Lean and Mean Willmar 43-21 (4-10 match split). Mason Rausch (126), Beau Robinson (152/160), Ivan Petrich (182) and Hank LeClair (195/220) all went 2-0.
BRAINERD WARRIORS
The Warriors defeated the Moorhead Spuds in their first round of the Section 8AAA duals 41-27 (8-6 match splits). In the semifinals they were defeated by No. 5AAA ranked Bemidji 36-28. Easton Dircks (132/138), Isaiah Germann (138/145), Isaiah Jillson (145/152), Damien Bentho (170), Shane Carlson (182/195) and Eli Wiskow (220/285) all went 2-0.
ROGERS ROYALS
The Royals were defeated by their section rivals Maple Grove 39-31 (6-8 match splits) in the quarterfinals.
MOORHEAD SPUDS
The Spuds were defeated in the Section 8AAA quarterfinals by Brainerd 42-27.
ST. CLOUD CRUSH
The Crush were defeated by the No. 3 Seeded and AAA Lean and Mean Little Falls 53-19. The Crush struggled a good portion of their season without three of their state ranked wrestlers. They had one back for the Little Falls dual.
SARTELL-St. STEPHEN SABRES
The Sabres were defeated by the No. 1 seeded team in Section 8AAA and No. 5AAA ranked Bemidji 69-5.
BUFFALO BISON
The Bison were defeated by the No. 2 seeded and AAA Lean and Mean Willmar in their first round Section 8AAA dual 58-10.
CLASS A
BELGRADE-BROOTEN-ELROSA JAGUARS
The Jaguars defeated ACGC in their Section 5A quarterfinals 57-24 (10-4 match splits). They defeated No. 8A ranked Canby in the Section 5A semifinals 50-19 (9-5) and in the championship they defeated Lean and Mean KMS 38-25 (8-6). Louie Tensen (126), Ryan Jensen (132), Wyatt Engen (145), Maximus Hanson (170), Carson Gilbert (182) and Ethan Spanier (220) all went 3-0. Aiden Mueller (106) Talen Kampsen (195) and Harley Weber (285) all went 2-1.
ROYALTON-UPSALA ROYALS
The Royals defended their Section 7A dual championship with three big wins over their section rivals. The Royals defeated Deer River 50-21 (10-5 match split) in the quarterfinals. In the Semifinals they defeated No. 6A ranked Holdingford 40-31 (7-7 match split). In the championship they had a chance to make up their cancelled match with LPGE/BR, they defeated them 39-22 (9-5 match split). Lane Olson (126), Alex Diederich (132/138), Bryce Holm (220) and Brandon Mugg (285) all went 3–0. Tucker Simmons (113), Brady Yourczek (145) and Sawyer Simmons (160/170) all went 2-1 and Jake Leners (170) went 2-0.
WEST CENTRAL AREA/ASHBY/BRANDON-EVANSVILLE KNIGHTS
The Knights defended their Section 6A title with three big wins; they defeated Ottertail Central 66-10 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals they defeated New York Mills 54-15 and they defeated Lean and Mean. Bertha Hewitt/Verndale/Parkers Praire 48-28. Owen Gruchow (113), Soloman Wales (145), Hunter Gruchow (152/160), Anthony Sykora (1820, Beau Robinson (195), Will Rustan (220) and Justin Blascyk (285) all went 3-0. Carter Lohse (126), Adam Lohse (138) and Ezekiel Sieckert (170) went 2-1.
HOWARD LAKE/WAVERLY-WINSTED LAKERS
The Lakers earned their first trip to the state tournament with three big wins over Section 4A rivals. they defeated Trinity 71-6 in the quarterfinals and LeSuerer-Henderson 54-21 in the semifinals. The Lakers defeated Kimball Area for the Section 4A championship 66-9. Ryker Clobes (113), Tony Baumann (138), Steve Heber (145), Mitch Mallak (152), Isaac Cain (160), Collin Boese (170) and Colton Long (220) all went 3-0. Tyler Graczyk (182) and Jakob Duske (285) both went 2-1.
UNITED NORTH CENTRAL WARRIORS
The Warriors defeated Mahnomen/Waubun 66-10 in their first round Section 8A Duals. The Warriors defeated Section 8A rivals Fosston-Bagley 55-10 in the semifinals. They defeated No. 10A ranked Frazee 31-24 in the championship to defend their section championship. Zach Hendrickson (132), Hank Tellers (152), Toby Isola (170), Cooper Hasbargen (195) and Conrad Koll (120) all went 3-0. Wyatt Olson (138), Zach Davidson (145) and Eli Roiko (182) all went 2-1. Rhett Olson (113), Marcus Peterson (285) and Rhett Anderson (113) all went 2-0.
HOLDINGFORD HUSKERS
The Huskies defeated Ogilvie in the Section 7A quarterfinals 65-10 and in a rematch from last season, Huskers were defeated by the No. 7A ranked Royalton-Upsala 40-31. Wyatt Pilarski (113), Willam Pilarski (145), Drew Lange (170), Luke Bieniek (182) and Jaxon Barkowicz (195) all went 2-0. Special Note: Jaxon Barthkowikz 182lbs 9th grade won his 75th Career Match.
LONG PRAIRIE-GREY EAGLE/BROWERVILLE WOLVES
The Wolves defeated WHAN 60-18 in the Section 7A quarterfinals and Staples-Moltley 37-32 in the semifinals. In the championship they were defeated by 7A ranked Royalton-Upsala 39-22. Tucker Zigan (170), Tate Twardowski (182/195) and Andrew Recknor (182/195) all went 3-0. Alex Line (220), Conner Flan (126), Colby Twardowski (120) and Brodie Pachan (106) all went 2-1 and Gavin Flan (138) went 2-0.
KERKHOVEN-MURDOCK-SUNBURG FIGHTING SAINTS
The Fighting Saints defeated their Section 5A rivals Minnewaska Area 49-18 in the quarterfinals. They defeated No. 12A ranked Minneota 31-29 in the semifinals and in the championship they were defeated by the No. 5A ranked Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 38-25. Trey Gunderson (120) and Masyn Olson (195) both were 3-0, Colton Noble (106), Cole Froelich (113), Jett Olson (145), Chase Magaard (152), Luke Froelich (160) and Aaron Jones all went 2-1.
PAYNESVILLE AREA BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs were defeated by the No. 4 Seeded and No. 12A ranked Minneota 32-27 (6-8) match split.
MINNEWASKA AREA LAKERS
The Lakers won by forfeit over Ortonville in the first Section 5A dual; they were defeated in the quarterfinals by No. 1 seed and Class A Lean and Mean Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 49-18.
BERTHA-HEWITT/VERNDALE/PARKERS PRAIRIE RAIDERS
The Raiders defeated Wadena-Deer Creek 57-15 in the Section 6A quarterfinals and Border West 36-30 in the semifinals. they were defeated by Lean and Mean West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville 48-28 for the championship. Hudson Truax (106), Justin Olson (120, Deagen Captain 9138) and David Revering (145) all went 3-0. Preston Captain (126), Bennet Arceneau (132) and Cayden Kimber (170) all went 2-1.
BORDER WEST BUCCANEERS
The Buccaneers defeated Pelican Rapids 36-36 in the Section 6A quarterfinals. they were defeated by Lean and Mean BHV/PP 36-30 in the semifinals. Cole Sykora (113), Eli Larson (126), Jude Olson (132) and Noah Adelman (285) all went 2-0.
STAPLES-MOTLEY CARDINALS
The Cardinals defeated Mille Lacs 54-18 in the Section 7A quarterfinals and they were defeated by the No. 9A ranked LPGE/BR 37-32 in the Section 7A semifinals. Turner Beachy (120), Colbe Tappe (138), Owen Winter (145), Blake Neelan (152) and Steven Petrich (285) all went 2-0.
ATWATER-COSMOS-GROVE CITY FALCONS
The Falcons were defeated in the quarterfinals of the Section 5A duals by No. 5A ranked Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 57-24 (4-10 match splits).
CLASS AA
BECKER BULLDOGS
The Bulldogs had a very good Section 6AA tournament with three big wins over their section rivals. They defeated DC/LITCH in the quarterfinal 65-12 and in the semifinals they defeated Princeton 45-19. The Bulldogs defeated AA Lean and Mean St. Francis 35-23 (8-6 match split). Kaden Nicolas (126), Landen Kujawa (132), Ethan Duncombe (152) and Adam Jurek (160) all went 3-0. Bennett Kujawa (106), Drew May (138), Tyson Ricker (182/195), Lance Lysdal 220/285) and Dylan Kolby (220/285) all went 2-1.
WATERTOWN-MAYER ROYALS
The Royals the No. 2 seeded and No. 5AA ranked defeated Mankato East 65-12 in their first round section dual (12-2 match split). The Royals defeated No. 6AA ranked rivals Scott West 31-23 in the Section semifinals. The Royals were defeated by the No. 2AA ranked New Prague 37-32. (7-7 match split). Titan Friederichs (113), Kaleb Mead (120), Ian Burau (285) and Bryce Burkett (170/182) all went 3-0. Joel Friederichs (106), Parker Jackson (126), Jonah Hamburger (132/138), Steven Duske (145/152), Kyle Burmeister (195) and Jason Fenske (220) all went 2-1.
PEQUOT LAKES/PINE RIVER-BACKUS ROAD CREW
The Road Crew defeated Alexandria Area in their first Section 8AA dual 52-21 (10-4 match splits). The Road Crew defeated their Section 8AA rivals and Lean and Mean Thief River Falls 35-30 in the semifinals. The Road Crew defeated Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 36-23 for the Section 8AA championship. Parker Zutter (113), Easton Miller (120), Chance Abraham (152), Trey Tuchtenhagen (182) and Corbin Knapp (195) all went 3-0. Trevor Holmberg (106), Brady Ruhl (145), Earl Stockman (160) and Riley Peters (285) all went 2-1.
MORA MUSTANGS
The Mustangs defeated Rush City/Braham in their first round Section 7AA dual 57-16 (10-4 match split). The Mustangs defeated Section 7AA rivals Aitkin 37-30 in the semifinals. The Mustangs defeated their rival to the north Grand Rapids 55-21 to defend their Section 7AA title. Mason Nelson (120), Nathan Nelson (132), Connor Gmahl (160), Tucker Hass (170), Brock Peterson (195) and Dyllon Adams (220) all went 3-0 and Avery Nelson (152) went 2-0.
ANNANDALE-MAPLE LAKE LIGHTNING
The Lightning defeated Rocori in the Section 6AA quarter-finals 42-24 (8-6 match split). In semifinals they were defeated by AA Lean and Mean St. Francis 34-32 (7-7) match split. Cassen Brumm (106), Xavier Jones (120), Noah Gindele (132), Mitchell Koss (145), Nathan Klatt (220) and Adam Klatt (285) all went 2-0. Special Note: Cassen Brumm 106lbs. 8th grade, won his 50th Career Match. Carson Cooper 160lbs 12th grade won his 75th Career Match. Mitchell Koss 145lbs 12th grade won his 100th Career Match.
DAWSON-BOYD/LQPV/MONTI UNITED
The United defeated MAHACA 57-20 (10-4) in their first round of Section 3AA duals. The United defeated their rivals to the South, No. 10AA ranked Fairmont/Martin County West 34-32. United defeated their rivals, Lean and Mean Marshall 37-22 for the Section 3AA championship. Ben Gunlogson (106/113), Daniel Gunlogson (126), Kameron Sather (132), Holt Larson (170/182), Parker Bothun (195) and Brody Rhode (285) all went 3-0. Eli Olson (106/113), Holland Schacherer (120), Zander Clausen (138) and Ethan Mcravetz (152/160) went 2-1.
PIERZ PIONEERS
The Pioneers defeated their conference rivals in their first round Section 7AA dual Milaca-Faith Christian 37-30 (7-7 match split). The Pioneers were defeated in the semifinals by Grand Rapids 32-32 (7-7 match splits). Kyle Stangl (113), Carter Young (120), Derek Stangl (132) and Chase Becker (145) all went 2-0.
FOLEY FALCONS
The Falcons defeated Sauk Rapids-Rice in the first round of the Section 6AA duals 69-6. They were defeated in the quarter finals by the No. 4 seed team Princeton 39-26 (7-7 match split). Jacob DeMarais (106), Cyler Ruhoff (120), Wyatt Wall (132), Cole Rudnitski (152), William Gutormson (145), Keagon Frisbie (160) and Aiden Micholski (182) all went 2-0 in the section duals.
BIG LAKE HORNETS
The Hornets defeated Zimmerman in their first round Section 6AA dual 54-24 (9-5 match split) The Hornets were defeated by the No. 3 seeded and AA Lean and Mean St. Francis 51-18 (4-10 match splits).
ROCORI SPARTANS
The Spartans defeated Spectrum in the Section 6AA quarterfinal dual 62-18 (11-3 match split). They were defeated by the No. 2 Section 6AA and No. 11AA ranked Annandale/Maple 42-24 (6-8 match split) Kameron Moscho (113/120), Jack Major (126/132), Evan Moscho (152), Nathan Soldner (170), Christian Rodriquez (182) and Mason Orth (195) all went 2-0 in the section duals.
NEW LONDON-SPICER WILDCATS
The Wildcats were defeated in the Section 3AA quarterfinal match by No. 9AA ranked Hutchinson 32-22 (6-8 match split).
MILACA-FAITH CHRISTIAN WOLVES
The Wolves were defeated by their conference rivals the Pierz Pioneers in the first round Section 7AA dual 37-30 (7-7 match splits).
AITKIN GOBBLERS
The Gobblers won their first round Section 7AA dual over Rock Ridge 39-22 (9-5 match splits). The Gobblers were defeated by No. 8AA ranked Mora 37-30. Jacob Benson (113), Nathan Trotter (138), Kenny Erickson (145), Jacob Williams (182) and Craig Ashton (285) all went 2-0.
ALEXANDRIA AREA CARDINALS
The Cardinals defeated Albany in their first Section 8AA dual 72-9, they were defeated by the No. 2 seeded and No. 7AA State Ranked Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus 52-21. Nolan Fettig (106), Mason Megrane (126) and Kelly Johnson (170) all went 2-0 in the section duals.
