Foley Falcons
The Falcons defeated Section 7AA foe Nashwauk-Keewatin in their first round of Section 7AA duals 83-0. They defeated Conference and Section 7AA rival Mora 43-18 in the second round, with a 9-5 match split and three falls. The Falcons were upset by their Section 7AA and No. 9AA ranked Princeton 41-26 with a 6-8 match split for the Section 7AA championship. Cyler Rohloff, Logan Thorsten, Michael Moulzolf and Hunter Gorecki all went 3-0, Elijah Novak went 2-0 and Austin Mailikowski, Evan Miller, Caden Ruhoff, Andy Knutson and Levi Henry all went 2-1. The Falcons finished with an impressive 32-3 record, they were dealing with some injuries and some virus issues as many wrestlers have or are this season. The Falcons had a good Section 7AA tournament with eleven place winners, including Hunter Gorecki (220) 1st place, Elijah Novak (285) 1st place, Logan Thorsten (152) 1st place, Cyler Ruhoff (106) 1st place, Andy Knutson (182) 2nd place, Austin Malikowski (120) 3rd place, Evan Miller (126) 3rd place, Michael Moulzolf (160) 4th place, Alex Jennisson (138) and Josiah Peterson (170) 4th place. The Falcons had a good Section 7AA tournament with eleven wrestlers advancing to the Super Section 7/8. Wrestlers that advanced to the Section 7AA Championship were: Cyler Ruhoff (106), Logan Thorsten (152), Andy Knutson (182), Hunter Gorecki (220) and Elijah Novak (285). Those that advanced to the Third Place Match were: Austin Malikowski (120), Evan Miller (126) Alex Jennisson (138), Michael Moulzolf (160), Josiah Peterson (170) and Levi Henry (195). The Falcons had nine place winners at the Super Section 7/8 tournament, including four state qualifiers. Hunter Gorecki, 1st place (220) 37-1, Elijah Novak,1st place (285) 31-3, Logan Thorsten, 2nd place (152) 37-1 and Austin Malikowski, 2nd place (120) 13-3. Cyler Ruhoff, 3rd place (106) 32-7, Andy Knutson, 4th place (182) 30-6, Michael Moulzolf, 5th place (160) 27-7, Evan Miller, 4th place (126) 24-13 and Alex Jennesson, 5th place (138) 19-12.
Mora Mustangs
The Mustangs defeated Pine City-Hinckley-Finlayson in the first round of Section 7AA duals 70-9 with a 12-2 match split. The were defeated by the No. 5AA ranked conference rival Foley 43-18 with a 5-9 match split. Anthony Nelson, Cody Haggeberg, Avery Nelson, Dom Adams and Tom Nosbush all went 2-0. The Mustangs had five Section 7AA place winners; those that advanced to the finals: Tanner Grangruth (220), Tommy Nosbush (182) and Dom Adams (170). Anthony Nelson (113), Trevor Thielen (120) and Connor Gmahl (152) all advanced to the third place match. The Mustangs earned six Super Section 7/8 places; Tanner (220) 2nd place, Tony Nosbush (182) 3rd place, Anthony Nelson (113) 4th place, Trevor Thielen (120) 4th place, Connor Gmahl (152) 6th place and Dom Adams (170) 6th place.
Albany Huskies
The Huskies advanced in the Section 6AA Dual tourney with a forfeit over Annandale/Maple Lake. They were defeated in their second round by No. 4AA ranked Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield 70-6. The Huskies advanced six wrestlers to the Super Section 5/6 tournament. Those that advanced to the Third Place match were: Owen Carlson (120), Devin Hanson (126), William Mergen (138), Peyton Krumrei (145), Tate Hoffarth (160) and Jacob Adrian (285). The Huskies earned five places at the Super Section 5/6 tournament: Peyton Krumrei, 3rd place (145) 19-8, Owen Carlson, 4th place (120) 18-14, Tate Hoffarth, 5th place (160) 18-8, Jacob Adrian, 5th place (285) 17-17 and Devin Hansen, 5th place (126) 11-7. The Huskies had five place winners at the Super Section 5/6 tournament: Peyton Krumrei, 3rd place (145) 19-8, Owen Carlson, 4th place (120) 18-14, Tate Hoffarth, 5th place (160) 18-8, Jacob Adrian, 5th place (285) 17-17 and Devin Hansen, 5th place (126) 11-7.
Little Falls Flyers
The Flyers defeated Section 8AAA foe and AAA Lean and Mean Buffalo 48-26 with a 9-5 match split. They were defeated by No. 3AAA ranked and Conference rivals Willmar 48-17 with a 4-10 match split. Austin Litke, Gabe Nagel and Eli VanRisseghem all went 2-0 in the Section duals. The Flyers had seven Section 8AAA place winners: Gabe Nagel (182) and Austin Litke (120) both advanced to the championship. Kole Cameron (106), Beau Robinson (126), Nathan Kludt (170) and Eli VanRisseghem (285) all advanced to the third place match. The Flyers had three Super Section 7/8 place winners. Gabe Nagel (182) 1st place, Austin Litke (120) third place and Eli VanRisseghem (285) 6th place.
Pierz Pioneers
The Pioneers had four Section 8AA place winners; Trevor Radunz (132) and Derek Stängel (113) both advanced to the championship and Jacob LeBlance (138) and Liam Hennessy (120) both advanced to the 3rd place match. They had three Super Section 7/8 place winners; Trevor Radunz (132) 2nd place, Jacob LeBlanc (138) and Derek Stangle (113) both earned sixth place.
Milaca-Faith Christian Wolves
The Wolves had three Section 7AA place winners; Bodee Zens (195and Jack Schoenborn (132) both advanced to the championship and Brody Ash (285) advanced to the third place match. The Wolves earned three Super Section 7/I place winners: Bodee Zens (195) 2nd place, Jack Schoenborn (132) 3rd place and Brody Ash (285) 4th place.
Zimmerman Thunder
The Thunder had three Section 6AA place winners: Joe Gardas (152) advanced to the championship and Jon Weiser (132) and Steen Weiser (220) both advanced to the third place match. Two earned places at the Super Section 5/6: Joe Gardas (152) 3rd place and Jon Weiser (132) 6th place.
