The Cubs earned fifth place in the state dual meet campaign with wins over MR/USC 39-23 and United North Central 41-24. They was defeated by West Central Area 34-33 in the quarterfinals. The Cubs had twelve section place winners, nine state qualifiers, five state place winners. They have back eight section placers, seven state qualifiers and two place winners. They will have nine with twenty wins plus and seven with experience. The Cubs should challenge those dual meet marks from last year and make a strong challenge for section honors and possible state honors. Their key leaders should include: Haden Rosenow (32-70, Gavin Winter (25-4), Mark Schiefelbein (36-12), Logan Kuseske (32-21), Hank Meyer (28-20), Jack Bollman (23-12), Blake Brutger (22-17), Zach Schiefelbein (25-21) and Brett Schieflebein (24-12).

The Lakers earned second place honors in Section 4A last season with big wins over Trinity School at Rivers Ridge 84-0 and Sibley East 62-15. They were defeated by Kimball in the championship 55-8. They had eleven section place winners, including six state qualifiers and four state place winners. Back this season for the Lakers are twelve section place winners, five state qualifiers and three state place winners. They will have ten back with a great deal of experience, with of ten with thirteen wins over more. The Lakers should challenge their dual meet marks in both the conference and overall. If they stay healthy and spread out in their weights should make a challenge for section honors. Their key wrestlers should include: Collin Boese (42-10), Mitchell Mallak (35-13), Radeon Graham (31-15), Colton Long (30-18), Tony Baumann (24-22), Tegan Miller (21-18), Caleb Michels (21-8) and Caleb Boese (17-8).

The Wolverines defeated LeSueur-Henderson 52-22 and they were defeated in the semifinals by Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 62-15. They had ten section place winners, three state qualifiers and two state place winners. Back from that team they have eight section place winners, two state qualifiers, one state place winner. They will have back eight with double figure wins. The Wolverines could challenge their dual meet marks from last season. If they spread out in their weights and stay healthy they should be a solid top four team in this dual campaign. The Wolverines key leaders should include: Benito Diaz (38-7), Jodie Alejandro (35-8), Jathen Mendoza (31-14), Omar Martinez (28-9), Josh Sotelo (29-19) and Giovani Govea (24-14).

The Eagles defeated St. Agnes 54-24 in their quarter final section dual and were defeated by Kimball 70-7. The Eagles had eight section place winners, three state qualifiers and two state place winners. Back from that team they have five section place winners, one state qualifier. they will have back seven with double figure wins. The Eagles should challenge those dual meet numbers if they stay healthy and fill out their weights. Look for them to move up on the conference standings and to make a challenge for one of the top four spots in this dual meet campaign.

The Aggies were defeated in their Section 4A quarterfinal dual by Eden Valley-Watkins 54-24. The Aggies had twelve section place winners, two state qualifiers and one state place winner. They will return in nine section place winners, one state qualifier and nine with a great deal of experience. They will have six with twenty wins plus back. Look for the Aggies to make a challenge to defend their conference honors, to improve on those good dual meet marks. They should make a strong challenge to be one of the top four teams in this dual meet campaign. The Aggies key leaders should include: Daniel Romero (33-14),Johnny Cummings (27-20), Joseph Cummings (26-19), Ryan McLaughlin (21-20), David Lopez (20-28) and Sean Brennen (15-18).

The Tri-Hawks were defeated in their quarterfinal section dual by HLWW. They had seven section place winners, two were qualifiers and one a state medal winner. Back this season will be five section place winners, one state qualifier, of which earned a state medal and three with experience. The Tri-Hawks will have six with double figure winners. Look for the Tri-Hawks to challenge both their overall dual marks and the conference duals. If stay healthy, stay spread out with weights and fill in with younger wrestlers. Their key leaders should include: David Gregory (35-5), Micah Gregory (24-16), Tyler Howell (17-17), Thomas King (16-21) and Dominic Rinaldi (15-18).

Back from that team are eight section place winners, one state place winner and two with experience. They will have a total of eight back with double figure wins. The Giants if they stay healthy and spread out in their weights should challenge their dual meet marks from last season. They could surprise a few opponents thru out the course of the season.. The key leaders should include: Dalton Wilson (29-13), Colton Wilson (29-16), George Doherty (21-11) and Andy Genelun (19-27).
