The Trojans defeated Prior Lake in their first round Section 2AAA dual 42-25 and they were defeated in the semifinals by Shakopee 42-21. The Trojans did graduate four seniors last spring, including a pair of Super Section place winners of which earned a state championship. They will be returning ten with a wide range of experience. This includes six with twenty plus wins, four state medalists, including a pair of state champions. Look for the Trojans to challenge for Section 2AA duals honors. They should make a strong challenge to defend their conference honors. If they stay healthy they could make a challenge for some state dual tourney hardware. Their key leaders should include: Koy Buesgens, Colton Bornholdt, Joey Novak, Evan Anderson, Brady Westall and Evan Farley.

The Tigers defeated Waseca in their first round section 2AA dual 54-15 and St. Peter 39-27 in the semifinals. They were defeated by Tri City 40-25 in the championship. The Tigers did graduate a pair of seniors last spring, they will have twelve returning with a wide range of experience. This includes five with eighteen wins over more, nine were section place winner, five super section place winners. They will have one state medalist back, look for this team to make a strong challenge for a top four spot in what should be a good section 2AA dual meet campaign. They should challenge their dual meet marks from last season and defend this conference honors. The Royals defeated Mankato West in their first round Section 2AA dual 64-14. They were defeated by Tri City 36-24 in the semifinals, they did graduate a state champion. They will have back eighteen with a great deal of experience, including twelve section place winners and six super section place winner. They all earned double figure wins, look for them to have a very balanced team. They should make a strong challenge for a top four in the section 2AA dual meet campaign. They should challenge those dual meet marks from last season and possibly make a challenge for conference honors. Their key leaders should include: Bryce Burnett, Tanner Burmeister, Ashton Congdon, Jackson Drahos, Hunter Stein and Jonah Hamberger.

The United defeated Hutchinson in their first round section 2AA duals 42-25 and in the semifinals they defeated Watertown-Mayer 36-24, they defeated Scott West In the super section they were defeated by Fairmont/Martin County West 39-28. They did graduate two very good seniors last spring, including a state medal winner. They will have back ten with a great deal of experience, nine with twelve wins or more. Five super section place winners and one state medalist. The United should make a challenge for one of those top four spots in what should be a good section 2AA dual meet campaign. Look for them to challenge their dual meet marks from last season and for conference honors. The key leaders should include Chris Johnson, Caden O’Malley, Ayden Bolma, Caleb Whipps, Marco Reyers and Cole Franek.
