The Rangers defeated Coon Rapids in their first round section dual 43-21 and they were defeated in a very close one by Anoka for the Section 7AAA championship 31-28. They did graduate three seniors last spring, including two super section champions and a state champion and a runner-up. Despite that loss they should make a very strong challenge for Section 7AAA dual meet honors and Conference honors. They will return ten with a wide range of experience, including ten section place winners, seven super section place winners and a state medal winner. Their key leaders should include; Jacob Aho, Dan Vanacher, Jackson Marr, Parker Lyden and Mark Riendl.

The Tornadoes defeated Forest Lake for the Section 7AAA championship and Willmar in the Super Section 37-24. They were defeated in the state semifinals by Shakopee 34-25. They did graduate four seniors last spring, including a pair of super section placed winners and one state medal winner. They will returning ten with a great deal of varsity experience, including nine with double figure wins. Six section place winners and six super section placers and a pair of state medal winners. Look for the Tornadoes to make a strong challenge to defend their Section 7AAA and Conference honors this season. They could challenge for one of those top four spots in the state dual meet campaign. Their key leaders should include: Brendan Howes, Elijah Paulson, Carter Ban, Noah Torgerson, Jacob Whitaker, Jaden Burandt and Austin West.

That is a pretty big loss, but look for this traditionally rich program will fill with some of their junior varsity wrestlers. They will have back eight with a wide range of experience, including six section place winners and a pair of super section place winners. Look for the Bluejackets to make strides of improvement thru out the season. They should make a challenge for one of the top four spots in the section dual meet campaign. Look for them to challenge those dual meet marks from last season. Their key leaders should included: Leo Edblad, Treytin Byers, Scott Simpson and Maverick Henderson.
