BLUE EARTH AREA BUCCANEERS
Head Coach: Dan Eckhardt
Big South East Conference: 6-3
Overall: 21-6
The Buccaneers defeated Medford in their first section 2A dual 33-27, in the semifinals they were defeated by Kenyon-Wanamingo 45-24. They did graduate five very good seniors last spring, all had 24 plus wins. They had five section place winners and all five were super section place winners. They did earn state medals, this a huge loss for any program. The Buccaneers will have twelve with a wide range of experience, seven with double figure wins. Eight were Section place winners, including one super section place winner. Look for this crew to continue to make strides of improvement thru out the season. If they stay healthy they should challenge those dual meet marks from last season and possibly move up in the conference standings. They should make a strong challenge for one of the four final four spots in what could be a very balanced section 2A dual meet campaign. Their key leader should include: Adam Schavery (22-11), Kean Hicks (20-8), Caleb Langager (20-11) and Cooper Peterson (18-15).
