Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus Road Crew
The Road Crew defeated Section 8AA foe in their first round dual, Fergus Falls 81-0. They defeated No. 11AA ranked Detroit Lakes 37-27 and they defeated No. 8AA ranked Thief River Falls 43-25 for the Section 8AA championship. The Road Crew was defeated by No. 9AA ranked Princeton in the state quarterfinals 43-25. Parker Sutter, Connor Tulenchik and Austin Staricha all went 4-0, Easton Miller, Owen Carlson and Corbin Knapp all went 3-1 and Max Trompold went 2-0. They had a very impressive 29-5 season dual meet record, breaking the school record that was set last season. The Road Crew had eight place winners at the Section 8AA tournament: Easton Miller (113), Owen Carlson (126), Connor Tulenchik (170) and Riley Peters (285) all advanced to the championship match. Parker Zutter (106), Korey Kinyon (138), Chance Abraham (152) and Corbin Knapp (195) all advanced to the third place match. The Road Crew had six Super Section place winners: Owen Carlson (126) earned second place, Connor Tulenchik (170) 1st place, Easton Miller (113) 3rd place, Park Zutter (106), Corbin Knapp (195) and Riley Peters (285) all earned sixth place.
Aitkin Gobblers
The Gobblers defeated Section rival Ogilvie 65-9 in the first round dual. They defeated Class A Lean and Mean Holdingford 33-33 with a 8-6 match split. The Gobblers were defeated by No. 8A rankled Royalton- Uppsala 21-43 for the Section 7A championship. Nathan Trotter, James Erickson, Marshall Larson and Nathan Stifter all went 3-0, Ken Erickson, Carson Kullhem, Jack Grell all went 2-1 and Jack Williams went 2-0. The Gobblers had eight Section 7A place winners: Marshall Larson (120), Carson Kullhem ((145), and Jack Grell all advanced to the championship match. Nathan Trotter (113), Jacob Williams (160), Tyler Decent (170), Hunter Hills (182) and Nathan Stifter (220) all advanced to the third place match. They had eight place winners at the Super Section 7/8 tournament. Marshall Larson (120) 1st place, Carson Kullhem (145) 3rd place, Jack Grell (152) 3rd place, Nathan Trotter (113) 3rd place, Jack Williams (160) 3rd place, Tyler Decent (170) 6th place, Hunter Hills (182) 6th place and Nathan Stifter (220) 6th place. Special Note: Nathan Trotter Earned His 60th Career Win.
Staples-Motley Cardinals
The Cardinals defeated Border West in their first round Section 6A duals 36-30 and they were defeated by No. 6A ranked West Central Area 58-16 with a 3-11 match split. The Cardinals had six place winners at the Section 6A tournament. Aidan Winter (113), Colbe Tappe (120), Dalton Wells (132), Conner Dobson (138), and Cole Winkels (285) all advanced to the third place match. Logan Weite (152) advanced to the championship match. The Cardinals had four place winners at the Super Section 5/6; Logan Weite (152) earned 2nd place, Colbe Tappe (120) earned 4th place and Aidan Winter (113) and Dalton Wells (132) both earned 6th place.
Crosby-Ironton Rangers
The Rangers were defeated by 8A ranked Royalton-Upsala in their first round dual 57-15 with a 4-9 match split. The Rangers had four Section 7A place winners; John Paul Fitzpatrick (138) and Michael Fitzpatrick (182) both advanced to the championship match and Cameron Durant (120) and Jake Klancher (160) both advanced to the third place match. The Rangers had four place winners at the Super Section 7/8: John Paul Fitzpatrick (138) 1st place and Michael Fitzpatrick (182) 1st place and Jake Klancher (160) and Cameron Durant (120) both earned sixth place.
