Wright County Conference

Teams included in the Wright County Conference Report are Dassel Cokato/Litchfield, Watertown-Mayer, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Annandale-Maple Lake, New London-Spicer, and Glencoe-Silver Lake.

Dassel Cokato/Litchfield
The Coop defeated Section 6AA rival Albany in their first section tourney dual 70-6. They defeated Section 6AA rival, No. 6AA ranked Becker 36-24 with a 9-5 match split for the Section 6AA championship. They defeated Section 5AA champion and Lean and Mean Totino-Grace 63-10 with a 12-2 match split in their state quarterfinal dual. The Coop earned twelve medals at the Section 6AA tournament. Andrew Joedeman (106), Victor Franco (113), Gabe Nelson (126), Jerry Simes (138), Eddie Simes, Jude Link (160), Tate Link (170), Hayden Hoernemann (220), Beau Nelson (195) and Brendan Rokala (285) all advanced the championship match. Alex Joedeman (120) and Will O’Brien (182) both advanced to the third place match. The Coop advanced seven to the state tournament: Victor Fanco (113), Jerry Simes (138), Eddie Simes (152), Jude Link (160) all earned Super Section 5/6 championships. Tate Link (170), Beau Nelson, Hayden Hoerneman (220) earned second place. Gabe Nelson (126), Alex Joedeman (120) and Will O’Brien (182) all earned third place and Andrew Joedeman (106) earned fourth place. Special Note: Jude LInk Earned His 150th Career Win. Andrew Joedeman Earned his 25th Career Fall.

Watertown-Mayer Royals
The Royals defeated their Section 2AA foe Mankato West 64-14 with a 11-3 match split in their first round. They were defeated by AA Lean and Mean Section 2AA rival Tri-City United 36-24 with a 5-9 match split. Austin Gabbert, Bryce Burkett, Tanner Burmeister, Ashton Congdon and Hunter Stein all went 2-0. The Royals earned nine medals at the Section 2AA tournament; Austin Gabbert (132) and Bryce Burkett (145) both advanced to the championship match. Dylan Sylte (113), Jonah Hamberger (126), Jonah Blakstad (160), Tanner Burmeister (170), Jackson Drahos (182), Ashton Congdon (195) and Hunter Stein all advanced to the third place match. The Royals had eight place winners at the Super Section 2/3: Austin Gabbert (132) 2nd place, Bryce Burkett (145) 2nd place, Tanner Burmeister (170) 3rd place, Ashton Congdon (195) 3rd place, Jackson Drahos (182) 4th place and Hunter Stein (220) 4th place.

Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers
The Lakers defeated Section 4A rival Norwood Young America 63-6 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals they were defeated by their Section 4A rival No. 4A ranked Kimball Area 52-18. Caleb Boese, Wiley Wiegert, Danny Mosford and Raydon Graham all 2-0. The Lakers earned ten medals at the Section 4A tournament: Caleb Boese (120), Wiley Wiegert (145),Collin Boese (160), Colton Long (195) and Danny Mosford (220) all advanced to the championship match. Raydon Graham (106), Casey Diers (132), Mitch Mallak (138), Tyler Graczyk (170) and Isaac Busse (182) all advanced to the third place match. The Lakers earned seven medals at the Super Section 1/4; Isaac Busse (182) 2nd place, Caleb Boese (120) 3rd place, Wiley Wiegert (145) 3rd place, Collin Boese (160) 3rd place, Danny Mosford (220) 4th place, Mitchell Mallak (138) 6th place and Colton Long (195) 6th place.

Annandale-Maple Lake Lightning
The Lightning were forced to forfeit their first round Section 6AA duals to their rival Albany. The Lightning had eight section 6AA place winners: Mitchell Koss (120), Adam Neumann (182) and Kessler Kenning (285) all advanced to the championship match. Noah Gindele (106), Zach Pribyl (126), Jackson Bunde (132), Jack Klug (170) and Riley Hall (195) all advanced to the third place match. The Lightning had eight Super Section 5/6 tournament place winners; Kessler Kenning (2850 earned the championship, Adam Neumann (182) and Mitchell Koosman (120) both earned second place. Noah Gindele (106) earned third place, Jackson Bunde (132) earned fourth place, Jack Klug (170) and Riley Hall (195) both earned sixth place.

New London-Spicer Wildcats
The Wildcats defeated Section 2AA rivals Morris Area 52-19 with a 10-4 match split. They were defeated by United 43-33 with a 6-8 match split. Luke Knudsen, Ty Bisek, Reid Holmquist and NIck McKenzie all went 2-0. The Wildcats had five Section 3AA place winners: Ty Bisek (120), Luke Knudsen (113), Nick McKenzie (285) all advanced to the championship match. Luke Ruter (126) and Brody Duke (145) both advanced to the third place match. The Wildcats had five earned medals at the Super Section 2/3 Tournament, Ty Bisek (120), Luke Knudsen (113) and Nick McKenzie (285) all earned championships. Luke Ruter (126) 3rd place and Brody Duke (145) 6th place.

Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers
The Panthers had four place winners at the Section 2AA tournament: Carter Ruschmeier (138) and Keegan Lemke (170) both advanced to the championship match and Carter Ziegler (195) and Zachary Voelz (152) both advanced to the third place match. The Panthers had four place winners at the Super Section 2/3 tournament; Carter Ruschmeier (138) and Keegan Lemke (170) both earned second place and Zachary Voelz (152) and Carter Ziegler (195) both earned sixth place.
